Camp Counselors

YOU ARE THE CENTER OF THE SMALL GROUP! You will be responsible for campers in groups of 10-12. The Counselor will help further the mission of the camp by investing in the next generation by leading them in camp culture, playing, instructing, and managing a fun-filled week! You must be 18+ to be considered for this position.

 

Assistant Counselors

WHAT A SIDEKICK! You will be responsible for assisting Counselors with campers in groups of 10-12. This role will allow you to invest in the next generation and further the mission of the camp by leading them in camp culture, playing, instructing, and managing a fun-filled week! You must have completed 10th or 11th Grade to apply and be considered for this position.

 

Lifeguards

YOU ARE A LIFE SAVER! You will be responsible for providing supervision and ensuring a safe environment at the camp’s waterfront activities. You will also be expected to assist in the management of the physical operation of the waterfront facilities and equipment. This is a fun and very important position. You will be required to practice all the water safety procedures and become a certified American Red Cross Lifeguard.

 

Arts & Crafts Instructor

OH! YOU’RE SO CREATIVE! You will be responsible for furthering the mission of the camp through the development and delivery of arts and crafts activities. These crafts should be safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and abilities. You will assist in managing the arts & crafts assistants and LITs and keep track of all related equipment and supplies. You will demonstrate your creativity by developing a craft schedule each week, preparing all supplies respective to the craft of the day and keeping an organized list of supplies used/needed for future crafts.

 

Photographer/Videographer

CAPTURE EVERYONE'S FAVORITE MEMORIES! You will be responsible for furthering the mission of the camp through capturing fun and high-quality photos of each individual camper at a designated camp activity. You will be responsible for communicating appropriately with parents by editing and sending photos of their respective camper each week. You must be a creative individual with a love for capturing those special moments that every mom and dad would want to be a part of!

 

Direct Instruction Instructors

Direct Instruction is the delivery of broken-down concepts that are explicitly taught. It is a teacher-driven approach that focuses on the mastery of skills and concepts.

Academic supports are programs and strategies that are used by schools to increase the academic achievement of students,

 

Grounds Keeper

Although some themed summer camps take place solely indoors, most summer camps are based on living in nature. A groundskeeper is necessary to mow grass, rake leaves, clear hiking trails, winterize the grounds, pick up trash, and do many other kinds of yard work. This position requires physical labor and lots of time outdoors, so make sure you can do the job before you apply. As the groundskeeper your tasks may change from day to day and can include all aspects of making sure the camp looks nice and stays safe for campers and other workers.

 

Summer Camp Kitchen Staff

You’ll oversee three meals a day, and usually a snack in the afternoon. The meals at our camp are served either buffet-style or with one to three daily options. Don’t forget, you’ll be cooking for the workers as well, and you’ll also be responsible for clean-up.

 

Chef and Instructor

Responsible for the entire food service operation. To plan meals that are healthy, nutritious, delicious, and accommodating of all diets. The youth will eat three meals a day with an evening snack, in addition, the chef will teach a class for the young chef’s, they will prepare a themed meal each Saturday for the entire camp.

 

Camp Nurse

Nurses are responsible for the care and supervision of all medical services. This care includes looking after ill or injured campers or staff, administering medication, communication with parents and counselors, organization of medical information, medications, and first-aid kits, as well as keeping records of camper visits. Camps will be staffed 24 hours of the day from check-in time Monday to check-out time Friday for campers and staff.

 

 

Music Appreciation

Listen and feel the story of a people. Tap into the genius of some of the greatest musicians that ever lived. Explore the styles, sounds, and rhythms of musical genres like Jazz, Rhythm and Blues, and Gospel.

Discover how and why Black people created this music and learn how music can express the Black experience with or without words.
